Worship

Worship

Worship is the submission of all of our nature to God.
It is the quickening of conscience by His holiness,
Nourishment of mind by His truth,
Purifying of imagination by His beauty,
Opening of the heart to His love,
And submission of will to His purpose.
All this, gathered up in adoration,
is the greatest expression of which we are capable.

Archbishop William Temple

People are created to be worshipping beings. Everyone worships something! And while all of life is worship, we get together Sunday mornings at 10 AM as well as other times throughout the year to worship God as the body of Jesus Christ

We believe that God’s Holy Spirit has been working through the ages and is working today.  Because of this, we bring older and newer expressions of faith into our worship and church life, insofar as they enhance our awareness of God and His work in history, and build up His Church today.  Occasionally we use historic creeds and confessions in our worship services, messages, and teachings.
