Adults

Adults

A number of opportunities are provided throughout the year for adults to connect with one another for the express purpose of growing in grace and living out the love of Christ with one another. Various studies provide opportunities to grow in our knowledge of and love for God and assist us in carrying out His mission to reconcile and restore the world through the ministry of His people.

Life Explored

We all want to be happy. Why is lasting happiness so hard to find?

Life Explored is an exposé of the little gods that promise us so much happiness, yet deliver so little. As it explores the Bible story (creation, fall, redemption, new creation), Life Explored shows how our deepest desires for happiness can only be satisfied in one person, Jesus Christ. The best gift God can give us is himself.

• Biblemesh

Recognizing the need for Christians to comprehend the major flow of the Bible’s story, New Life has implemented the web-based course Biblemesh for use in our high school through adult Christian Education curriculum on Sunday mornings, in tandem with other classes.  Thoroughly biblical and Christ-centered, Biblemesh’s “The Biblical Story” is an easy-to-follow 36-part web-based course that presents Scripture as a cohesive narrative of God’s redemptive work through Jesus Christ from Genesis to Revelation. The course content is divided into 7 eras, explaining the main characters, key events, historical contexts, and theology of the Bible. BibleMesh appeals to different learning styles, with hundreds of articles, videos, maps, charts, and quizzes keep you engaged with the content. Course offered as needed.

• Community Groups

Community Groups are the primary place where you are known and cared for at New Life. Within small communities you build personal relationships and practice applying the gospel to their lives. Each group expects to experience Jesus Christ in its midst, enabling participants to be transformed through mutual ministry and to experience life in the family of God.

Groups meet in homes and at New Life. All groups are led by either elders or lay-leaders from within the congregation. Groups generally meet one to four times a month for worship, Bible study, fellowship, prayer and activities.

These groups provide sanctuary from the pressures and anxieties of life and facilitate the formation of new friendships. Community groups are places where you can be revitalized and strengthened as you seek to reflect the love of Jesus Christ to your community. As God made us for community, we need others to help us apply the gospel to our lives. Our hope is that everyone who attends New Life will be involved in a Community Group.

Everyone is encouraged to participate in community group ministry. If you are interested in participating in a community group, please talk to one of New Life’s leaders.
