OUR PURPOSE

The goal of the Children’s Ministry at New Life is to encourage children to serve and renew their communities through the knowledge and application of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We work toward this goal by immersing them in Scripture, teaching them how to pray and worship, and facilitating spiritual growth among a new generation in the greater Holland area.  In addition to teaching children to live Gospel-centered lives, we want to assist parents in the challenging tasks of discipling their children, offering practical support to them as they apply New Life’s values and beliefs to their families.

Sunday School – Training in the Word of God is an integral part of New Life’s mission to reconcile and restore the world to Christ. Classes are provided for all ages using age-appropriate curriculums from New Growth Press that take children through the Scriptures from Genesis to Revelation! Check out their website at http://gospelstoryforkids.com/

Little LAMBS (Living as my Bible Says) – Our goal for the youth ministry program is to teach these children about our Lord and Savior through songs, scripture memory, crafts, stories, games and fellowship. This program encompasses boys and girls ages 2 years through kindergarten.

image_rightsideGarden Girls – The objective of this program is to teach the girls how God wants them to live as young women. We want to teach them godly character and grace along with some basic skills they would need to learn as they grow. This is done through working our way through a bible study, scripture memory, crafts, games, songs, outings and fellowship with other godly women. This program encompasses girls 1st grade – 8th grade, or roughly ages 6  -14.

Christian Explorers – The primary goals for this program are to teach character, life skills and biblical manhood to boys. We also strive to strengthen father/son relationships, provide memorable fellowship opportunities, and welcome other boys and their families. The age range for this program is approximately 8– 14 years old.  Our meetings are on weekday evenings and will generally include three elements: a game or fun activity, a lesson about biblical wisdom and character, and a project time to teach skills. With outings and overnighters on weekends.
